Pocahontas

Pocahontas was release on this day in 1995, still one of my favorites 20 years later!
I wish Disneyland would have an area to meet and greet Pocahontas in the park.

Do you have a character that is on your wish list to have a photo with?

Oh CHOCOLATE cake!

OH... I am not a chocolate fan... But the chocolate cake in Disneyland is divine.

Yes... That is a chocolate diamond on top of this delicious piece of cake. Just for the 60th anniversary diamond celebration.

You can purchase chocolate cake all over the park at different restaurants, they even come out with seasonal cakes.

As you can see from the pictures... I am not a chocolate cake enthusiast... Okay maybe just while I am in Disneyland!

I have received complementary chocolate mouse cake a couple of times while dinning and celebrating a special occasion. Make sure you wear you celebration button! I think my favorite is the free chocolate cake ... But I am sure it's because it's complementary.

Disneyland really spares no expense on making sure all of their guest feel special.

Have you ever received a complementary chocolate cake or dessert while dining in Disneyland?

Yummmmm POPCORN

Popcorn hands down is my families favorite snack in the park. It is also one of the items that has been served in Disneyland since opening day, July 17, 1955.

Guest eat more them 185,000 pounds of popcorn every year. There are multiple popcorn carts all over the park, each have their own theme.

You can purchase the popcorn in a thrown away paper container or a souvenir bucket. I highly suggest the souvenir bucket....

A. You don't have to eat the popcorn right away, the bucket is easy to carry around and makes snacking on popcorn easy while in line... Don't forget a beverage.

B. We take snacks in it once we have arrived back home, thanks to Amy's brilliant idea. Baseball games, fireworks on the 4th, road trips, Etc... It is a nice, fun, versatile snacking tool.

C. I always pick up a Carmel Apple to take home, so it doesn't get broken I store it in our trips popcorn bucket on the trip home. That alone makes it more then worth it in my eyes.

Different areas of the park will have different buckets, make sure you scope them out before you purchase... You don't want bucket regret! They also have seasonal buckets.... Oh how we love our popcorn!

Bengal BBQ Celebrates 25 years!

Earlier this week Bengal BBQ celebrated 25 years, it is one of my families favorite places for an afternoon snack. It is located in Adventureland across the way from the entrance to the Indian Jones ride.

We normally order a few skewers of chicken and veggies and share, it is a great late afternoon pick me up.

What is your favorite thing to order at the Bengal BBQ?

Ice Water

It is really warming up outside, so I thought I would share a small tidbit to save you some money.

Water!

We take a water bottle into the park and then we ask for ice water cups when we go to a walk up restaurant and refill our water bottles.

There are drinking fountains through out the park, we normally fill up our water bottles at the Pirates of the Caribbean ride line if you go towards the left.

Save some money and cool off with FREE ice water!

Disney and Vans oh my!

National Donut Day!

Now I have never purchased a donut in Disneyland, in fact I don't think they have traditional donuts.  But a beignet is similar to a donut, I would take a Disneyland beignet over a donut any day!

Beignets can be purchase at the Mint Julep Bar, Cafe New Orleans and the Jazz Kitchen walk up in Downtown Disney.

Beignets are similar to donuts in that they are a fried dessert that is often served topped with powdered sugar. They are best served immediately after light frying. There are many kinds of beignets, ranging from those served with fruit in them to cinnamon and sometimes even chocolate

Have you ever had a Disneyland beignet?
